About the position

As an Application Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of system concepts for our clients. Your primary responsibility will be to create a conceptual layout drawing (CLD) of the proposed system, ensuring that it meets the specific needs and requirements of our customers. You will utilize internal pricing tools to generate accurate pricing for equipment and solicit bids from vendors to ensure competitive pricing. Collaboration with the Sales team is essential, as you will work together to generate pricing and proposals that effectively communicate the value of our solutions to customers. In addition to pricing and proposals, you will be responsible for revising drawings, pricing, and proposals as needed based on customer feedback or changes in project scope. You will also work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to establish a delivery schedule that aligns with project timelines. Once projects are ready for handoff, you will prepare all necessary documentation and provide support to the Project Management team, answering any questions that may arise during manufacturing and installation phases. Occasional travel to customer locations will be required, typically 15-20% of the time, to support Sales Managers and address any questions regarding equipment. You will interface with various groups, including Project Engineers for system layout establishment, Production Engineers for schedule development, and Development Engineers for discussions on new design concepts. Your role will also involve using software programs such as AutoCAD LT for creating conceptual layout drawings, Salesforce and BigMachines for generating pricing and proposals, and SAP for entering order information and researching historical data.
