About the position

The Inside Sales/Applications Engineer at Eagle Tech Consultants is a key role that combines technical expertise with sales acumen. This position serves as a vital resource for both pre-sales and post-order support, providing customers with essential technical and commercial information related to products in the process control industries, particularly in the Energy sectors such as Oil and Gas and Refining. The ideal candidate will be motivated and eager to grow within the organization, ensuring high levels of customer service and effective application engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Represent Process Controls and its principals to customers by providing technical product and commercial information for the Energy sectors.
• Daily interface with customers via telephone, email, and in person for the proper selection of equipment and/or solutions.
• Interact and provide support to Account Managers, management, and manufacturer contacts regarding customer quotations and technical solutions.
• Provide a high level of technical assistance to customers in the selection, application, start-up, and maintenance of products.
• Participate in training sessions ranging from small group to large group presentations.
• Ensure the consistent implementation of effective Application Engineering practices and customer service guidelines.

Requirements

• Applicable technical and/or sales experience with engineered products in the industrial process control or oil and gas industry.
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or Industrial Distribution Degree from an accredited university.
• Commitment to providing a high level of customer service and demonstrates entrepreneurial business acumen.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and listening skills to develop strong working relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Ability to multi-task, manage a demanding workload, and adhere to deadlines.
• Demonstrate resourcefulness and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Basic PC skills and ability to utilize and learn various software applications such as MS Office and SAP.
