About the position

Emerson is seeking a Sales/Applications Engineering Co-op for Spring or Fall 2025 to join our team in Marshalltown, IA. This position offers a unique opportunity for students to gain real-world experience in a dynamic and collaborative environment. As a co-op, you will support the growth of Emerson - Fisher Flow Controls sales across various industries, including Oil and Gas, Refining, Chemical, Power, OEM, Pulp and Paper, Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage, and Metals & Mining. Your role will involve providing technical and commercial sales support to the Emerson Impact Partner network, assisting in the pursuit of key projects, and formulating key account strategies. You will also troubleshoot field installation problems and specify custom valve solutions, participate in defining future industry growth segments, and provide training to customers and representatives. Additionally, you will support customer visits to the Marshalltown Innovation Center and analyze market trends to develop insightful studies.

Responsibilities

  • Support the growth of Emerson - Fisher Flow Controls sales in various industries.
  • Provide technical and commercial sales support to the Emerson Impact Partner network.
  • Assist in the pursuit of key projects and key account strategy formulation.
  • Troubleshoot field installation problems and specify custom valve solutions.
  • Participate in defining future industry growth segments.
  • Provide customer and representative training.
  • Support customer visits to the Marshalltown Innovation Center.
  • Analyze and develop market studies on industry trends.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university.
  • Required Major(s): Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Management, Agricultural Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials/Metallurgical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering.
  • GPA: 2.5 or above.
  • Commitment to full-time (40 hours) during Spring (Jan 2025- August 2025) or Fall (May 2025- December 2025).
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
