About the position

The Sales Area Manager is responsible for managing a geographical sales territory in the greater Portsmouth, NH area. This role focuses on developing independent and regional account business, achieving budgeted sales and profit objectives, and building strong relationships with customers in the foodservice industry. The position requires regular customer engagement, business plan execution, and effective resource management to drive results.

Responsibilities

  • Manages a geographical sales territory within greater Portsmouth NH and surrounding areas.
  • Ensures that independent and regional account business is developed and budgeted sales and profit objectives are achieved.
  • Regularly calls on existing and potential customers.
  • Develops and executes business plans.
  • Effectively manages time and resources to attain results.
  • Builds business through support of company branded product.
  • Manages pricing and monitors credit term compliance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 6-12 months in foodservice or beverage based Sales, Marketing, and/or Restaurant experience.
  • Applicant must live or be willing to relocate to within 45 minutes of the territory area.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelors in Business management, sales/marketing or a related area preferred.
  • 1-2 years Experience in Sales, Marketing, and/or Restaurant field - FOH, BOH management, and/or chef or cook experience.
