About the position

The Area Manager position at Performance Foodservice is a dynamic role that involves managing a geographical sales territory within the greater Plymouth, NH area. A key aspect of the job is to support the company’s branded products, manage pricing strategies, and monitor compliance with credit terms. The Area Manager will play a crucial role in driving sales growth and ensuring customer satisfaction within their territory. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with a variety of local customers, including independent restaurants, hotels, healthcare facilities, schools, and quick-service eateries. The Area Manager will collaborate with a team of sales representatives, chefs, and consultants to provide tailored advice on improving operations, menu development, product selection, and operational strategies. This role is not just about selling food; it’s about helping independent restaurant owners achieve their dreams and succeed in a competitive market.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a geographical sales territory within greater Plymouth NH and surrounding areas.
  • Regularly call on existing and potential customers.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 6-12 months in foodservice or beverage based Sales, Marketing, and/or Restaurant experience.
  • Applicant must live or be willing to relocate to within 45 minutes of the territory area.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelors in Business management, sales/marketing or a related area preferred.
  • 1-2 years Experience in Sales, Marketing, and/or Restaurant field - FOH, BOH management, and/or chef or cook experience.
