About the position
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sales Assistant / Lot Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the organization and cleanliness of our lot while providing exceptional assistance to our sales team. As a Sales Assistant, you will be a vital part of our sales team, helping with tasks as needed to ensure success. Furthermore, as a Lot Attendant, you will ensure that vehicles are parked efficiently and safely, contributing to a positive experience for our guests. This job could lead to other positions as they become available for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Park and retrieve vehicles in an organized manner, ensuring proper handling of all vehicles.
- Fuel / Charge vehicles upon arrival and before delivery.
- Support delivery drivers by coordinating vehicle movements as necessary.
- Inspect vehicles upon delivery to dealer and tag accordingly.
- Manage inventory location among on-site and off-site lots.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the parking lot and surrounding areas.
- Conduct regular inspections of parked vehicles to ensure their safety and security.
- Demonstrate knowledge of manual transmission vehicles when parking or retrieving cars.
Requirements
- Previous experience in valet parking or as a lot attendant is preferred but not mandatory.
- Background in hospitality or customer service is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and retail math is beneficial.
- Experience working in a dealership environment can be an asset.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
