About the position

As a Sales Associate at Claire's, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in achieving retail store targets. Your primary responsibilities will include driving sales through exceptional customer service, ensuring a fun shopping experience for customers, and assisting with various store operations such as visual merchandising and inventory management. You will also receive training to perform ear piercings and will be expected to maintain a presentable store environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in achieving retail store targets by driving sales.
• Deliver sales through friendly and efficient customer service.
• Ensure customers have a fun and enjoyable shopping experience.
• Demonstrate Claire's products to customers.
• Assist customers with their queries using product knowledge.
• Process store deliveries, visual merchandising, stock takes, markdowns, and promotions.
• Perform ear piercing after receiving full training.
• Ensure the store looks presentable and inviting to customers.

Requirements

• Some high school education required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Understanding of the importance of customer service.
• Sound understanding of mathematics and strong reading comprehension skills.
• Ability to stand during scheduled shifts.
• Ability to maneuver up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and climb ladders and step stools while placing merchandise and assisting customers.
• Ability to operate POS system.
