About the position

As a Sales Associate at Claire's, you will play a key role in supporting the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in achieving retail store targets. Your primary focus will be on driving sales through exceptional customer service, ensuring a fun shopping experience for customers, and maintaining the store's presentation. You will also assist with various operational tasks, including product demonstrations, processing deliveries, and visual merchandising.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in achieving retail store targets by driving sales.
  • Deliver sales through friendly and efficient customer service.
  • Ensure customers have a fun and enjoyable shopping experience.
  • Demonstrate Claire's products to customers.
  • Assist customers with their queries using product knowledge.
  • Assist with processing store deliveries, visual merchandising, stock takes, markdowns, and promotions.
  • Perform ear piercing after receiving full training.
  • Ensure the store looks presentable and inviting to customers.

Requirements

  • Some high school education required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Understanding of the importance of customer service.
  • Sound understanding of mathematics and strong reading comprehension skills.
  • Ability to stand during scheduled shifts.
  • Ability to maneuver up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, extend reach, and climb ladders and step stools while placing merchandise and assisting customers.
  • Ability to operate the POS system.
