About the position

The Sales Associate at Haven Hospice is responsible for providing quality customer service by efficiently processing customer orders and donations. This part-time role involves assisting management with stock rotation, maintaining seasonal displays, and ensuring a clean and organized store environment.

Responsibilities

  • Handles monetary transactions including cash, checks, gift certificates, travelers checks, processing coupons, issuing rain checks and handling refunds.
  • Engages in suggestive selling and other sales techniques.
  • Assists with merchandise rotation, store layout, stocking, and proper pricing. Responsible for staying current on product location.
  • Responsible for maintaining checkout area, including keeping it clean, neat, properly stocked, and safe.
  • Responsible for answering the telephone, taking donation information from customers for pick-up, accepting donations from clients, and providing them with tax information form.
  • Exhibits critical thinking abilities and applies them for continuous improvement of services and HH. Demonstrates ability to think creatively, identify and make recommendations to the Attic Manager.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in retail environment as a cashier, preferably in apparel, thrift/consignment
  • Valid Florida Drivers license and Insurance
