About the position

As an Assistant Store Manager at Claire's, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Store Manager in driving sales and achieving retail targets, delivering exceptional customer service, and ensuring smooth store operations. This position involves team leadership, merchandising, and providing training to enhance the skills of the store team. You will also be responsible for ear piercing, for which you will receive full training.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Manager in driving and achieving retail store targets.
  • Deliver the finest level of customer service.
  • Ensure the store runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Maintain well-merchandised and commercially correct store displays.
  • Assist in training and coaching the store team to enhance their skills and career development.
  • Perform ear piercing after receiving full training.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum one year retail management experience.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Sound understanding of mathematics and strong reading comprehension skills.
  • Ability to analyze sales reports and strategically problem solve.
  • Ability to stand during scheduled shifts.
  • Ability to maneuver up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally.
  • Bending, stooping, extended reaching, climbing ladders and step stools while placing merchandise throughout the store and assisting customers.
  • Ability to operate POS system.
