About the position

The Sales Associate position at Benjamin Moore & Co. is designed for ambitious individuals looking to kickstart their careers in sales within the paint and coatings industry. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop expert knowledge about the company's products, programs, and services. The Sales Associate will work closely with various departments and support Territory and Architect & Design Representatives in achieving their sales goals, ultimately preparing for advancement to a Territory Sales Representative role.

Responsibilities

• Attend internal and external product and sales training
• Learn all aspects of the paint and coatings industry by working alongside professionals in R&D, Marketing, Sales Operations, Manufacturing & Distribution, Color and Design, and independent retailer locations
• Participate in market-wide selling events and professional networking events
• Apply paints and coatings to various substrates and learn how to diagnose and troubleshoot product performance issues
• Support Territory Reps in meeting their sales goals by calling on lower-volume customers to sell in products and programs
• Support Architect and Design Reps in sales goals by assisting in project specifications, educating, and creating brand awareness
• Support Training Team by assisting in architectural and industrial product training
• Be a true Brand Ambassador by living the Benjamin Moore vision and values
