About the position

The Sales Associate position at Benjamin Moore & Co. is designed for ambitious individuals looking to kickstart their careers in sales within the paint and coatings industry. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop expert knowledge about the company's products, programs, and services. The Sales Associate will work closely with various departments and support Territory Sales Representatives and Architect and Design Representatives in achieving their sales goals. This position serves as a steppingstone towards a Territory Sales Representative role, with the expectation of relocation within the designated region when opportunities arise.

Responsibilities

• Attend internal and external product and sales training
• Learn all aspects of the paint and coatings industry by working alongside professionals in R&D, Marketing, Sales Operations, Manufacturing & Distribution, Color and Design, and independent retailer locations
• Participate in market-wide selling events and professional networking events
• Apply paints and coatings to various substrates and learn how to diagnose and troubleshoot product performance issues
• Support Territory Reps in meeting their sales goals by calling on lower-volume customers to sell in products and programs
• Support Architect and Design Reps in sales goals by assisting in project specifications, educating, and creating brand awareness
• Support Training Team by assisting in architectural and industrial product training
• Be a true Brand Ambassador by living the Benjamin Moore vision and values
