About the position

The Sales Associate at Burberry within DFS at the Los Angeles International Airport is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and acting as a brand ambassador. This role involves assisting customers with their purchases, maintaining product presentation, and building customer loyalty while meeting sales targets. The position is full-time and offers a competitive hourly wage along with commission opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting and purchasing merchandise while demonstrating excellence in customer service.
• Provide a unique one-on-one consultation to cultivate loyal customers by offering professional advice on product assortment.
• Complete customer transactions in a professional and timely manner.
• Identify customer's temperaments and recommend products that suit their style.
• Respond to customer queries and complaints in a polite and courteous manner.
• Assist other sales staff during peak periods to ensure customers are attended to promptly, minimizing wait times.
• Ensure floor presentation meets or exceeds brand and DFS requirements.
• Maintain reasonable stock levels of all merchandise in the department.
• Be familiar with the store layout and direct customers to merchandise, services, and facilities as appropriate.
• Assist the Management team in the coordination and execution of merchandising activities, including inventory management and promotional activities.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
• 1-2 years of luxury retail experience; previous fashion, customer service, hospitality services, or luxury brand experience preferred.
• Comfortable with one-on-one elevated customer service; clienteling.
• Familiar with using the POS Terminal; with accurate and quick transaction handling ability.
• Ability to work flexible hours/shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays. Able to work overtime hours when necessary.

Nice-to-haves

• Secondary language speaking beneficial, but not required.
