The Sales Associate at J.Jill is a key member of a dedicated team focused on delivering exceptional customer service tailored to individual needs. This role emphasizes building genuine connections with customers, assisting them in creating versatile wardrobes, and maintaining high visual merchandising standards in the store. The Sales Associate is responsible for achieving sales goals while ensuring a welcoming and knowledgeable shopping experience.
Responsibilities
- Achieve individual and team sales and productivity performance goals.
- Greet customers promptly and genuinely, and re-engage appropriately.
- Build customer loyalty by creating genuine connections with customers.
- Conduct company-sponsored outreach to acquire new customers and increase shopping visits.
- Guide customers to looks that flatter and assist in building wardrobes.
- Provide helpful service and advice, suggesting layering and accessorizing options.
- Stay updated on J. Jill product features, colors, fabrics, fit, styles, and care.
- Maintain excellent visual standards and assist with floor set execution.
- Replenish the sales floor according to minimum product level standards.
- Participate in all operational functions including marketing, product processing, and store cleanliness.
Requirements
- Previous work experience in a retail environment, preferably in women's specialty retail.
- Technical experience with point of sale systems.
- Strong communication skills and proven sales and customer service skills.
- Passion for fashion and the J. Jill brand, with a commitment to staying engaged.
- Strong style, merchandising, and wardrobing skills.
