About the position

The Sales Associate at Chef'Store is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. This role involves various tasks including sales, cash handling, inventory management, and maintaining store cleanliness. The Sales Associate will work closely with customers to assist them in finding products and will also be involved in stocking shelves and managing inventory effectively.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all customers have an impeccable CHEF'STORE experience by developing and maximizing relationships with the store's customers.
• Perform sales and cash functions in the POS efficiently and accurately.
• Conduct cart-to-cart transfers of all products at checkout and verify cart content vs. purchases as customers leave the store.
• Assist in receiving inventory shipments and maintaining and stocking shelves in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Report any low stock levels to store management and ensure all merchandise is properly labeled.
• Replenish sales floor daily by down stocking freight from top stock and ensure proper rotation of products.
• Participate in the inventory and cycle count process as needed.
• Ensure the facility is well maintained and is a safe environment for staff and customers by following safety policies and practices.

Requirements

• Minimum 6-12 months retail cashier and/or stocking experience required.
• Minimum one year retail selling and/or customer service experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required.

Nice-to-haves

• Basic computer skills and cash handling experience.
• Proficiency utilizing general office equipment.
• Ability to work a flexible hourly schedule, including holidays and weekends.
