About the position
The Sales Associate at Chico's is responsible for fostering a customer-focused sales culture that emphasizes individual expression and a positive shopping experience. This role supports management in achieving sales goals, maintaining store standards, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and service. The Sales Associate is expected to drive results, enhance customer experiences, and contribute to operational excellence while promoting teamwork and personal growth.
Responsibilities
- Meets company sales goals by utilizing sales techniques and communicating product knowledge to customers.
- Maintains knowledge of current sales and promotions; ensures pricing and visual standards are upheld.
- Participates in visual directives including monthly store sets and zone maintenance.
- Models and promotes the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) principles and standards.
- Ensures prompt resolution of customer concerns and a fast register experience.
- Reinforces buying decisions at checkout and achieves add-on goals including gift card sales.
- Signs up clients for the reward program and builds a solid customer following through clienteling.
- Maintains consistent client communication through utilization of a customer book.
- Supports replenishment activities to keep the store full and abundant.
- Assists with visual directives, including floor sets and window changes, as directed.
- Promotes an inclusive, collaborative approach to problem-solving.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Retail or sales experience preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Able to learn or adapt to technology provided by the company.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to communicate with customers, Associates, and Management.
- Regular attendance is essential to meet company objectives.
