Responsibilities

• Adhere to all company policies and follow the posted work schedule.
• Provide prompt and courteous service to all customers.
• Assist the Store Manager in maintaining a store-inspection grade of at least 90%.
• Report any sales, cash, or operating discrepancies to the Store Manager.
• Operate the shift within company guidelines to achieve sales and profit goals.
• Complete assigned training and stay familiar with company policies and procedures.
• Prepare shift-change reports and clock in and out accurately.
• Notify the Store Manager of any discrepancies in operating results or cash conditions.
• Control inventory and follow security policies regarding cash handling and vendor check-in procedures.
• Keep store displays fully stocked and maintain cleanliness throughout the store.

Requirements

• Availability to work all scheduled hours and occasional unscheduled shifts.
• Ability to communicate and understand English at an eighth-grade level.
• Ability to perform arithmetic calculations at an eighth-grade level.
• Sufficient visual acuity to check identification and process money orders.
• Ability to move up to 55 pounds and stock shelves and coolers.
• Ability to react to a fire and use a fire extinguisher weighing 20 pounds.
• Ability to tolerate exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products.
• Ability to clean and maintain the store environment, including windows, floors, and bathrooms.
