About the position

The Sales Associate - Contact Lens Specialist at America's Best plays a crucial role in providing quality eye care and eyewear services. This position focuses on assisting customers with contact lenses, ensuring they receive the right fit and care instructions, while also maintaining a neat and efficient contact lens department. The role emphasizes customer satisfaction and operational compliance within the optical retail environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a neat and orderly contact lens room and equipment, following health and safety protocols.
  • Optimize the contact lens department for efficiency and compliance with company policies.
  • Educate clients on proper contact lens and eyeglass care.
  • Perform insertion and removal training of contact lenses to customers, as permitted by state law.
  • Maintain accurate and organized patient records.
  • Contact customers weekly for products waiting to be dispensed and notify them of order readiness or delays.
  • Ensure quality standards are met consistently.
  • Review CCL remakes and share information with the General Manager.
  • Handle initial customer inquiries regarding contacts and eyeglasses.
  • Communicate daily results vs goals with the General Manager.
  • Ensure effective merchandising and execution of marketing, pricing promotions, and initiatives according to brand standards.
  • Monitor and maintain contact lens inventories and department supplies under the direction of the General Manager.
  • Follow the America's Best 'Code of Excellence' to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Meet National Vision's sales and company objectives.
  • Assist with selling and dispensing eyeglasses as necessary.
  • Maintain the office to corporate and safety standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 0-2 years of retail and/or optical experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of the optical industry preferred.
  • Fluency in reading and speaking both English and Spanish required.
  • NCLE and/or ABO certification within 1 year preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in retail or optical settings.
