About the position

The Sales Associate at Coopers 12 South Nashville is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and driving sales in a vibrant retail environment. This role emphasizes engaging with customers, understanding their needs, and promoting Jockey's products while adhering to company policies and procedures. The position also involves merchandising and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide a warm, sincere greeting to all customers, including current promotional messages.
• Engage all customers to identify their needs and utilize product knowledge to offer solutions.
• Assist in driving all aspects of store level sales and profitability.
• Perform various sales and register transactions including ringing purchases and processing payments.
• Assist with merchandising of product in the store, adhering to established visual standards.
• Promote awareness and excitement to grow Jockey Rewards® membership.
• Ensure adherence to all Jockey policies and procedures.
• Establish positive working relationships with co-workers to accomplish shared goals.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Requirements

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to move 25 pounds.
• Ability to effectively maneuver around sales floor and stockroom, including repetitive bending, prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, squatting, and ascending/descending ladders.
• Ability to work with/around cleaning chemicals.

Nice-to-haves

• Two years of retail or customer service experience with a proven ability to demonstrate a passion for extraordinary customer service and sales.
