About the position

The Sales Associate at Bosselman Pump & Pantry is responsible for providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment while adhering to food handling guidelines. This role involves various tasks including operating the POS system, managing sales transactions, and ensuring a clean and safe food service environment. Responsibilities

• Arrive at work in a clean and proper uniform, and maintain a neat appearance.
• Greet customers in a friendly manner.
• Understand all functions of the POS system.
• Make change properly and process all sales quickly and accurately.
• Ensure all items are properly stocked and priced correctly.
• Check in vendor deliveries and assist in ordering.
• Understand fuel inventory reports and clean/sanitize equipment.
• Keep the store neat and clean, inside and outside.
• Recognize problems and report them to management.
• Comply with all food handling guidelines to meet or exceed state/federal regulations.
• Ensure a clean and healthy food service environment by following proper cooking procedures and temperature holding temps.
• Store food products properly, rotated, and code dated with expiration dates.
• Perform temperature testing of food to ensure safety and quality control.
• Provide friendly and competent customer service.
• Report for work in a timely manner with regular attendance.

Requirements

• Retail or guest service experience preferred.
• Able to work the POS system efficiently.
• Ability to read, write, and perform math skills.
• Must possess a positive, enthusiastic attitude.
• Must be flexible and able to adapt to change.
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills.
• Must be well-groomed and properly attired.
• Must have reliable transportation and phone.
• Must be able to communicate in English.
