About the position

The Sales Associate position at Batteries Plus Bulbs involves providing excellent customer service and technical sales support in a fast-paced retail environment. The role includes assisting customers with their needs, performing battery tests and installations, and contributing to the overall success of the store. Responsibilities

• Greet customers, determine needs, and answer questions.
• Suggest and sell add-on items, participate in retail store and commercial sales activities to achieve sales goals.
• Perform battery tests and installations.
• Repair cell phones, tablets, and other devices as needed (training provided).
• Operate computer/cash register to complete sales transactions.
• Answer phones and ensure messages are relayed.
• Rotate and stock inventory, maintain retail shelf label pricing.
• Load, unload, and deliver or arrange delivery of products.
• Organize daily recovery of displays to achieve full store appearance.
• Prepare store for regular opening and closing.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months prior work experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to gain a quick understanding of the company's electronic retail and cross-reference system.
• Good listening and verbal communication skills with a customer focus.
• Organizational and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects/tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to calculate simple math, percentages, ratios, and read gauges.
• Demonstrated technical aptitude or professional experience desired.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred.
