About the position

The Sales Associate at Coach is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales in a luxury retail environment. This role involves understanding customer needs, creating personal sales strategies, and building lasting relationships with clients. The Sales Associate will also maintain store standards and contribute to a positive team environment while representing the Coach brand with enthusiasm and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Understand organizational objectives and align decisions with company priorities and values.
  • Create personal sales and clienteling strategies in partnership with the management team.
  • Meet customer needs through solution-oriented and forward-thinking approaches.
  • Build credibility and trust as a personal fashion advisor by communicating fashion awareness and trends.
  • Support the execution of local sales strategies and tactics based on market changes.
  • Create positive impressions with customers through appropriate business attire.
  • Demonstrate Coach's Selling and Service expectations consistently.
  • Influence customers' purchase decisions with a balance of patience and assertiveness.
  • Take ownership of delivering results and achieving personal and store metrics.
  • Flex personal selling techniques to contribute to overall store financial results.
  • Demonstrate persuasive, confident, friendly, and genuine service skills.
  • Discuss product features and suggest appropriate add-on items to customers.
  • Work with multiple customers simultaneously and follow up consistently to close sales.
  • Develop product knowledge skills and remain aware of current collections.
  • Apply knowledge of competition to build sales and customer relationships.
  • Drive business through sales strategies, clienteling, and maintaining productive customer relationships.
  • Tailor approach to customers' needs by reading cues and building lasting relationships.
  • Complete daily operational tasks including maintaining store standards and visual merchandising.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of previous selling experience in a luxury retail service environment preferred.
  • Current knowledge of fashion trends and competition in the marketplace.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of cash register systems and basic computer skills, including the ability to use iPad/laptop and Mobile POS.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a luxury retail environment.
  • Knowledge of visual merchandising techniques.
