About the position

The Sales Associate role at Coach is essential for driving store success and delivering exceptional customer service. This position focuses on building lasting customer relationships, achieving sales goals, and representing the Coach brand with integrity and enthusiasm. The Sales Associate is responsible for understanding customer needs, providing in-depth product knowledge, and maintaining store standards while contributing to a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Understand organizational objectives and align decisions with company priorities.
• Take ownership of personal sales metrics and create strategies in partnership with management.
• Create short- and long-term strategies to achieve personal performance goals.
• Represent Coach as a brand ambassador and demonstrate selling and service expectations.
• Communicate fashion awareness and knowledge of competition to build credibility as a fashion advisor.
• Provide in-depth product knowledge and communicate current pricing and promotional strategies to customers.
• Cross-sell and encourage beneficial product add-ons based on customer needs.
• Tailor approach to meet the unique shopping needs of each customer.
• Follow up with customers consistently to influence and close sales.
• Flex personal selling techniques to contribute to overall store financial results.
• Build lasting relationships with customers and leverage tools for clienteling efforts.
• Promote a team selling environment and foster teamwork and collaboration.
• Complete daily operational tasks while maintaining service standards and store appearance.
• Support inventory processes and maintain strong organizational standards.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of previous sales experience, preferably in a luxury retail service environment.
• Current knowledge of fashion trends and competition in the marketplace.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• Knowledge of cash register systems and basic computer skills, including the ability to use iPad/laptop and Mobile POS.
