The Sales Associate IV at The Salvation Army plays a crucial role in supporting the operation of the Thrift Store for the Reno Adult Rehabilitation Program. Responsibilities

• Assist in the operation of the Thrift Store as directed by the Store Manager or Assistant Manager.
• Stock and clean merchandise, including ragging out goods.
• Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately.
• Prepare daily paperwork related to store operations.
• Maintain good customer relations by providing prompt and courteous assistance.
• Answer the telephone and direct callers to the appropriate individual or department.
• Ensure the store's appearance is clean and orderly, performing janitorial duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to handle cash and operate the cash register.
• Ability to follow instructions without direct supervision.
• Merchandise knowledge is preferred.
• Strong customer rapport skills.
• High levels of time management and multitasking abilities.
• Previous retail experience is a plus.
