The Salvation Army (TSA) Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) is dedicated to assisting men and women in their journey through a no-fee rehabilitation program. The organization relies heavily on the commitment and hard work of its employees to maintain and enhance the effectiveness of its programs. As a Sales Associate/Material Handler at the Costa Mesa Store, you will play a vital role in supporting the Adult Rehabilitation Program while promoting a positive shopping and donor experience. This position is an opportunity to develop customer service, problem-solving, and teamwork skills while contributing to the success of the program and its participants. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all customers and donors receive a warm greeting and prompt assistance. You will stock priced items for merchandising on the sales floor and assist in maintaining a clean, neat, and organized store and donation area. Following all POS and cash register policies in accordance with TSA policies and procedures is essential, as is maintaining safety and compliance standards. You will also be required to attend monthly store meetings and accurately receive, unload, and stock incoming inventory items. Quality assurance is a key aspect of your responsibilities, which includes inspecting products for defects and damages. Additionally, you will assist donors in removing donated items from their vehicles and provide receipts. Sorting and separating donated materials into the proper containers and stacking them as instructed by management will also be part of your duties. This position may involve performing other written or verbal tasks as assigned by management, making it a dynamic and engaging role within the retail team.
