About the position

The Sales Associate at Pet Food Express plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for both pet owners and their pets. This part-time position involves engaging with customers, providing product recommendations, and maintaining store operations, all while fostering a welcoming environment for pet lovers.

Responsibilities

• Engage actively with customers, both human and pet, to provide assistance and information.
• Answer customer questions about specific products and services.
• Utilize the Pet Food Express Whole Life Approach to offer tailored recommendations for pet care.
• Participate in daily training and continuous education to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
• Operate the cash register efficiently and courteously.
• Unload shipments and stock the store, which includes heavy lifting.
• Maintain cleanliness in the store by performing tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and cleaning up after pets.

Requirements

• A passion for pets and people.
• A warm and welcoming personality with a genuine desire to provide excellent customer service.
• Sales and/or pet experience is a plus.
• Eagerness to learn and participate in daily educational activities.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Must be able to lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds using appropriate lifting techniques.
• Ability to climb and balance using a ladder or step stool.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stretch, and engage in repetitive motions throughout the shift.

Nice-to-haves
