About the position

The Sales Associate - Optical position at America's Best involves selling, fitting, and dispensing eyewear to customers while providing exceptional customer service. The role is part-time and requires adherence to company policies and standards to ensure a professional environment. Associates will assist customers with eyewear selection, educate them on product care, and maintain accurate patient records, all while contributing to the company's mission of making quality eye care accessible.

Responsibilities

• Sell, fit, and dispense eyewear to customers.
• Meet National Vision's sales and company objectives.
• Adhere to National Vision's Code of Conduct.
• Foster an inclusive and respectful environment for associates and customers.
• Assist with dispensing eyeglasses and contact lenses as permitted by state law.
• Perform insertion and removal training of contact lenses to customers as permitted by state law.
• Educate clients on proper eyeglass and contact lens care.
• Maintain accurate and organized patient records.
• Notify customers when orders are ready or of any delays.
• Assist customers with picking out eyewear and recommend appropriate products.
• Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls according to National Vision protocol.
• Maintain cleanliness of all equipment, workstations, and the overall facility based on safety protocols.
• Ensure inventory control and loss prevention procedures are followed.
• Maintain visual merchandising according to Brand and Company Standards.

Requirements

• 1+ years related experience or training in retail/customer service preferred.
• Strong selling skills aimed at meeting sales targets.
• Ability to give instruction in a clear and concise manner to customers.
• Ability to interact with all levels of employees in a courteous, professional manner.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
