About the position

The Sales Associate position at the Navy Exchange Service Command in Lemoore, CA, is a part-time role focused on providing exceptional customer service to military personnel and their families. The associate will engage with customers, assist them in finding merchandise, and maintain the store's appearance. This role is integral to supporting the local Naval community and ensuring operational success on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

• Proactively engages, connects, and listens to customers by asking questions to determine their needs.
• Directs customers to merchandise and informs them about upcoming events, promotions, and mobile offers.
• Maintains store appearance to ensure a welcoming environment.
• Processes cash exchanges, discounts, gift cards, credit cards, and debit cards using a Point-of-Sales system.

Requirements

• Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to perform job duties.
• Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
• Previous retail experience preferred but not required.
