About the position

The Part-time Sales Associate at Fastenal is responsible for driving business success through customer relationship management and consultative sales. This role involves supporting B2B sales, developing new partnerships, and enhancing existing customer relationships while utilizing a consultative sales approach. The position is based at the Las Vegas branch and offers up to 28 hours of work per week, primarily during weekdays.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting business to business (B2B) sales and customer service activities
  • Providing value to customers through a consultative sales approach
  • Developing new and growing existing relationships from leads, referrals, and prospecting
  • Coordinating resources to respond to customer service needs
  • Performing local sales calls driving a company vehicle to customer sites
  • Performing other duties as needed to ensure branch success

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Possess a current full valid driver's license
  • Possess or are working towards a degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, Management or related field OR have customer service or industry related work experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Strong aptitude for sales and a desire to sell
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, and customer service oriented
  • Strong math aptitude, attention to detail, and sense of urgency
  • Strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities
  • Strong problem solving, deductive reasoning, and decision making skills

Nice-to-haves
