The Retail Sales Associate at Palms Casino Resort is an outgoing and motivated individual responsible for providing exceptional guest experiences in a dynamic retail environment. This role involves guiding and informing guests, driving sales performance, and maintaining a professional demeanor while promoting the store's merchandise. The associate plays a key role in the department's success by utilizing their selling skills and ensuring high standards of guest service.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a pro-active attitude in selling and providing solutions to meet guests' needs.
• Knowledgeable about the product to efficiently sell Fashion Retail merchandise.
• Assists with selling gift shop merchandise, including food and beverage, and cashiering accurately.
• Maintains appropriate merchandise stock levels and informs supervisors of irregularities.
• Provides outstanding guest service with enthusiastic greetings and friendly conversation.
• Monitors and maintains cleanliness and organization of the gift shop.
• Obtains assigned bank and ensures accuracy of contracted monies.
• Documents and assists with guest questions, requests, complaints, or problems.
• Maintains confidentiality of guest information and property data.
• Remains knowledgeable about property features, services, and hours of operation.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar retail role, preferably in mid-level to luxury fashion.
• Experience using suggestive up-selling techniques in a retail environment preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal.
• Outstanding guest service skills and excellent verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to meet or exceed sales goals and excel in customer service standards.
• Comfortable exchanging names with customers.
• Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to use computers and calculators effectively.
• Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations quickly and accurately.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a fashion store, preferably mid-level to luxury fashion.
