About the position

As a DOTS Sales Associate at Trek, you will play a crucial role in achieving our mission of getting more people on bikes by providing exceptional hospitality to our customers. From the moment customers arrive at our store, you will guide them through their cycling journey, ensuring they have everything they need to meet their cycling goals and enjoy their rides. Your responsibilities will include developing your sales and hospitality skills through comprehensive training and hands-on experience, as well as achieving individual sales targets of at least $400,000 per fiscal year for full-time associates. You will learn about various bike components, apparel, and technology, and participate in daily huddles to discuss strategies and share insights with your team. In addition to direct customer interaction, you will be responsible for maintaining store merchandising standards, completing daily task lists, and assisting with the assembly and preparation of bicycles for service. You will also follow up on customer quotes and lead lists, ensuring that every customer receives the care and attention they deserve. To succeed in this role, you will need to maintain Trek University Guide Status by completing training modules that enhance your knowledge of our products and services. Your positive attitude and commitment to teamwork will be essential as you work alongside like-minded individuals who share your passion for cycling and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional hospitality to customers from arrival to departure.
  • Achieve individual monthly and annual sales targets of at least $400,000 for full-time associates.
  • Develop sales and hospitality skills through training and role-playing.
  • Learn about bikes, components, apparel, and technology.
  • Participate in daily huddles and debriefs to discuss performance and strategies.
  • Utilize the Guide Sales Process to enhance customer experience.
  • Follow through on Quotes and Lead List communications.
  • Make informed decisions regarding customer care and service.
  • Maintain Trek University Guide Status by completing required training modules.
  • Complete Daily Task List assignments and maintain store merchandising standards.
  • Conduct weekly Cycle Counts and assist in product re-stocking.
  • Assemble or pre-assemble new bicycles and prep customer bikes for service.
