The Sales Associate: Recurring Monthly Revenue - Security and Fire Alarm position at MCS of Tampa, Inc. is a full-time, permanent role focused on driving sales in the security and fire alarm sectors. The associate will engage with contractors, end users, and government entities to promote MCS's services, build relationships, and provide tailored solutions. This role requires strong sales skills, effective communication, and the ability to stay updated on industry trends and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Identifying and engaging with contractors to promote Structured Cabling, Safety, and Fire Alarm Divisions.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with contractors, end users, and government entities.
• Understanding project requirements and providing suitable solutions.
• Collaborating with internal teams to develop accurate and competitive project quotes.
• Preparing and delivering compelling sales presentations.
• Staying up to date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
• Monitoring project bidding opportunities and actively pursuing projects for our divisions.
• Tracking and reporting sales activities, pipeline, and progress to the Sales Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred; High School Diploma or equivalent with relevant experience.
• Proven experience in sales in the construction industry and trades, focusing on contractors, end users, and government entities.
• Familiarity with the construction trade bidding process and project lifecycle.
• Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver persuasive sales presentations.
• Knowledge of electrical, cabling, safety, fire alarm, and networking solutions is a plus.
