About the position

The Sales Associate at Soma is responsible for fostering a customer-focused sales culture while supporting management in achieving sales goals. This role emphasizes delivering exceptional customer experiences, maintaining store standards, and promoting a collaborative team environment. The position offers flexible part-time hours and requires a commitment to customer service excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Meet company sales goals by utilizing sales techniques and communicating product knowledge to customers.
  • Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, pricing, and visual standards.
  • Ensure standards in merchandise handling, presentation, and loss prevention are met.
  • Participate in visual directives including monthly store sets and zone maintenance.
  • Model and promote the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) principles and standards.
  • Ensure prompt resolution of customer concerns and a fast register experience.
  • Reinforce buying decisions at checkout and achieve add-on goals including gift card sales.
  • Sign up clients for the reward program and build a solid customer following through clienteling.
  • Maintain consistent client communication through utilization of a customer book.
  • Support replenishment activities to keep the store full and abundant.
  • Assist with visual directives, including floor sets and window changes.
  • Promote an inclusive, collaborative approach to problem-solving.

Requirements

  • Retail or sales experience preferred.
  • Must be 16 years of age or older.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to learn or adapt to technology provided by the company.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate with customers, associates, and management.
  • Regular attendance is essential to meet company objectives.
