About the position

The Sales Associate at J.Jill is a key member of a dedicated team focused on delivering exceptional customer service tailored to individual needs. This role emphasizes building genuine connections with customers, assisting them in creating versatile wardrobes, and maintaining high visual merchandising standards in the store. The Sales Associate is responsible for achieving sales goals while ensuring a welcoming and knowledgeable shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Achieve individual and team sales and productivity performance goals.
• Greet customers promptly and genuinely, and re-engage appropriately.
• Build customer loyalty by creating genuine connections with customers.
• Conduct company-sponsored outreach to acquire new customers and increase shopping visits.
• Provide helpful service that is unique to customer needs, greeting customers promptly and genuinely.
• Guide customers to looks that flatter and assist in building wardrobes.
• Keep up-to-date on J. Jill product features, colors, fabrics, fit, styles, and care.
• Assist with floor set execution and ongoing re-merchandising of the store.
• Maintain excellent visual standards and replenish the sales floor according to minimum product level standards.
• Participate in all operational functions including marketing, product processing, replenishment, markdowns, promotions, store cleanliness, and backroom organization.

Requirements

• Previous work experience in a retail environment, preferably in women's specialty retail.
• Technical experience with point of sale systems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proven sales and customer service skills.
• Strong style, merchandising, and wardrobing skills.
