About the position

The Sales Associate at Target Optical is responsible for creating an outstanding optical experience for guests by leveraging their knowledge and personality to meet customer needs with high-quality fashion brands. This part-time role focuses on building relationships with customers, assisting them in selecting frames, and ensuring a positive store environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver sales plan and company objectives by cultivating existing customer relationships and building new ones.
• Utilize optical prescriptions to recommend specific lenses and lens coatings.
• Assist patients in selecting frames and coordinate frames with optical measurements.
• Conduct measurements using appropriate optical tools and consult with Optician as needed.
• Participate actively in fostering a positive store environment and build strong relationships with peers, management, and support staff.
• Maintain the appearance of the store by keeping displays and inventory clean, attractive, and organized.
• Foster an inclusive culture by treating customers and colleagues with respect.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years experience in retail or customer service
• Familiarity with point of sale systems, computers, and calculators
• Strong communication skills (both oral and written)
• Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and respond flexibly in a quickly changing environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in optical sales or knowledge of eyewear products
• Ability to embrace new technology and change with high accuracy.
