About The Position

The Sales Associate at Target Optical is responsible for delivering an exceptional optical experience to customers by leveraging their knowledge and personality to meet guests' needs. This role involves building customer relationships, assisting with frame selection, and ensuring a positive store environment while contributing to the overall sales objectives of the store.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years experience in retail or customer service
• Familiarity with point of sale systems, computers, and calculators
• Ability to embrace new technology and change with high accuracy
• Strong sales skills and accountability for sales results
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and respond flexibly in a changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver sales plan and company objectives by cultivating existing customer relationships and building new ones.
• Utilize optical prescriptions to recommend specific lenses and lens coatings.
• Assist patients in selecting frames and coordinate frames with optical measurements.
• Conduct measurements using appropriate optical tools and consult with Optician as needed.
• Participate actively in fostering a positive store environment and build strong relationships with peers and management.
• Maintain the appearance of the store by keeping displays and inventory clean, attractive, and organized.
• Foster an inclusive culture by treating customers and colleagues with respect.
