About the position

The Sales Associate at Target Optical is responsible for delivering an exceptional optical experience to customers by leveraging their knowledge and skills to meet customer needs. This part-time role focuses on building relationships with customers, assisting them in selecting eyewear, and ensuring a positive store environment while achieving sales objectives.

Responsibilities

• Deliver sales plan and company objectives by cultivating customer relationships.
• Utilize optical prescriptions to recommend specific lenses and coatings.
• Assist patients in selecting frames and coordinate with optical measurements.
• Conduct measurements using optical tools and consult with Optician as needed.
• Foster a positive store environment and build professional relationships with peers and management.
• Maintain the appearance of the store, ensuring displays and inventory are clean and organized.
• Promote an inclusive culture by treating customers and colleagues with respect.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of experience in retail or customer service
• Familiarity with point of sale systems and basic math skills
• Ability to embrace new technology and adapt to changes
• Strong sales skills with accountability for results
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
