About the position

At Target Optical, we are dedicated to providing an exceptional optical experience for our guests. As a Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in achieving this mission by combining your knowledge, experience, and personality to meet the needs of our customers while showcasing our high-quality fashion brands. Your primary responsibility will be to create an outstanding shopping experience that leaves a lasting impression on our guests. In this role, you will consistently deliver on sales plans and company objectives by cultivating existing customer relationships and building new ones. You will utilize optical prescriptions to recommend specific lenses and lens coatings, assisting patients in selecting frames that best suit their needs. Your expertise will be essential in conducting measurements using appropriate optical tools and consulting with an Optician as needed. You will actively contribute to a positive store environment, fostering strong professional relationships with peers, management, doctors, and support staff. Maintaining the appearance of the store is also a key responsibility, as you will take pride in keeping displays and inventory clean, attractive, and organized. Additionally, you will help foster an inclusive culture by treating customers and colleagues with respect, ensuring that everyone feels valued and welcomed in our store.

Responsibilities

• Deliver sales plan and company objectives through customer relationship management.
• Utilize optical prescriptions to recommend lenses and coatings.
• Assist patients in selecting frames and coordinate with optical measurements.
• Conduct measurements using optical tools and consult with Optician as needed.
• Contribute to a positive store environment and foster professional relationships.
• Maintain the appearance of the store, ensuring displays and inventory are clean and organized.
• Foster an inclusive culture by treating customers and colleagues with respect.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ years experience in retail or customer service.
• Familiarity with point of sale systems, computers, and calculators.
• Ability to embrace new technology and change with accuracy.
• Strong sales skills and accountability for sales results.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task in a changing environment.
