About the position

The Sales Associate at J.Jill plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and building lasting relationships with customers. This position focuses on achieving sales goals, providing personalized wardrobe advice, and maintaining visual merchandising standards in a retail environment. The Sales Associate is expected to embody the brand's values and contribute to a positive shopping experience for customers.

Responsibilities

• Achieve individual and team sales and productivity performance goals.
• Greet customers promptly and genuinely, and re-engage appropriately.
• Build customer loyalty by creating genuine connections with customers.
• Conduct company-sponsored outreach to acquire new customers and increase shopping visits.
• Provide helpful service that is unique to customers' needs, greeting them promptly.
• Guide customers to looks that flatter and assist in building wardrobes.
• Stay updated on J. Jill product features, including colors, fabrics, fit, styles, and care.
• Assist with floor set execution and ongoing re-merchandising of the store.
• Maintain excellent visual standards and replenish the sales floor according to product level standards.
• Participate in all operational functions including marketing, product processing, and store cleanliness.

Requirements

• Previous work experience in a retail environment, preferably in women's specialty retail.
• Technical experience with point of sale systems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proven sales and customer service skills.
• Strong style, merchandising, and wardrobing skills.
