About the position

The Sales Associate at White House Black Market is responsible for fostering a customer-focused sales culture that emphasizes the company's values and principles. This role involves ensuring a positive customer experience while maximizing store profitability through effective sales techniques and product knowledge. The Sales Associate will work collaboratively with management and team members to maintain store standards and promote a welcoming environment for customers.

Responsibilities

  • Meets company sales goals by utilizing sales techniques and communicating product knowledge to customers.
  • Maintains knowledge of current sales and promotions; ensures pricing and visual standards are upheld.
  • Participates in visual directives including monthly store sets and zone maintenance.
  • Models and promotes the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) principles and standards.
  • Ensures prompt resolution of customer concerns and a fast register experience.
  • Reinforces buying decisions at checkout and achieves add-on goals including gift card sales.
  • Signs up clients for the reward program and builds a solid customer following through clienteling.
  • Maintains consistent client communication through utilization of a customer book.
  • Supports replenishment activities to keep the store full and abundant.
  • Assists with visual directives, including floor sets and window changes, as directed.
  • Promotes an inclusive, collaborative approach to problem-solving.

Requirements

  • Retail or sales experience preferred.
  • Must be 16 years of age or older.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Able to learn or adapt to technology provided by the company.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to communicate with customers, Associates, and Management.
  • Regular attendance is essential to meet company objectives.
