About the position

We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Sales Associate to join our team in a grocery store environment. The primary focus of this role is to provide exceptional service to customers, assist them with their purchases, and contribute to the overall success of the store through effective sales techniques.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Utilize phone etiquette to handle customer calls and inquiries effectively.
• Process transactions accurately using cash registers, including cash handling and credit card processing.
• Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products and enhance the shopping experience.
• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring products are well-stocked and displayed attractively.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain high standards of customer service.
• Communicate effectively with customers, providing information about promotions, product features, and store policies.
• Assist in inventory management by reporting low stock levels and participating in stock replenishment activities.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required.
• Strong phone etiquette skills to communicate professionally with customers over the phone.
• Familiarity with cash register operations and cash handling procedures is a plus.
• A passion for sales and a willingness to learn upselling techniques will contribute to your success in this role.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
