About the position

The Sales Associate at Smoke Rings Smoke Shop is responsible for providing excellent customer service while assisting customers with their needs and promoting products. This role requires a motivated individual who can maintain high standards of store appearance and achieve sales goals through effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
• Assess customers' needs and provide assistance and information on product features
• Welcome customers to the store and answer their questions
• Promote upcoming sales and raffles
• Maintain in-stock and presentable condition of assigned areas
• Maintain proper stock levels via communication with ordering managers
• Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options
• Process POS (point of sale) purchases
• Upsell products
• Ensure that company policies are being followed and upheld
• Open and close the store front
• Build productive trust relationships with customers
• Comply with inventory control procedures
• Suggest ways to improve sales (e.g. on campus promoting, changing the store's design)

Requirements

• Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
• Proficiency in English
• Basic Math skills
• Working knowledge of customer and market dynamics and requirements
• Hands-on experience with POS transactions
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
• A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus
• Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner
