About the position

Norman's Gift Shops, Inc. is seeking a qualified Part-Time Sales Associate for their Newark, DE location. The role focuses on providing exceptional customer service, driving retail sales, and creating a caring atmosphere for customers. Sales Associates are essential in helping customers commemorate special occasions and celebrate everyday moments, while also meeting store goals and enhancing the overall shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Infuse the Customer CARE program into the store culture to drive retail sales by connecting with customers and building relationships.
• Prioritize customer satisfaction and ensure the customer always comes first.
• Meet store-specific Crown Rewards program enrollment goals consistently.
• Learn and efficiently use the register system to provide a pleasant point of sale experience.
• Ensure cash register accuracy and demonstrate basic mathematical skills.
• Utilize outstanding selling skills during customer interactions to build sales and drive satisfaction.
• Proactively learn retail product knowledge for all merchandise to assist customers effectively.
• Maintain and restock displays as directed by store management.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets the needs of the business, including events, holidays, evenings, and weekends.
• Strong aptitude for basic math functions including percentages and general arithmetic.
• Ability to continuously stand/walk; frequently push/pull; occasionally bend/stoop/crawl/reach above shoulders/kneel; climb a ladder, and carry up to 40 pounds.
