About the position
The Sales Associate at United Bank is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and performing daily branch operations. This role involves transaction processing, customer inquiries, and promoting bank products and services. The Sales Associate must work efficiently within a team environment and contribute to the branch's overall goals.
Responsibilities
- Operate core banking systems and sales associate window with accuracy and efficiency.
- Accept deposits and verify cash deposits, endorsements, and compliance with Regulation CC.
- Process payments for loans and lines of credit.
- Handle the redemption of U.S. Savings Bonds and process night depository, ATM, and mail deposits.
- Provide customer services including issuing official bank checks and credit card cash advances.
- Balance assigned cash daily and adhere to security procedures regarding cash drawer management.
- Identify customers and verify documentation for transactions, ensuring compliance with bank policies.
- Prepare mandatory currency transaction reports and logs in compliance with Bank Secrecy Act regulations.
- Meet monthly branch and individual scorecard goals by monitoring self-performance.
- Deliver excellent customer service by adhering to sales standards.
- Assist with branch opening and closing procedures and escort customers to safe deposit boxes as needed.
- Maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers and contribute to team objectives.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of the Bank's in-house Sales Associate Training Program.
- Previous customer service experience is highly desired.
- Demonstrated sales-oriented professional demeanor.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in Spanish or another language is a plus.
- Experience in handling money is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel) is required.
- Understanding of core banking systems is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal skills and professionalism.
