About the position

The Sales Associate at Jockey is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales in the Kittery, ME store. This role emphasizes the importance of engaging with customers, understanding their needs, and providing solutions through product knowledge. The Sales Associate will also assist with various store operations, including merchandising and maintaining a clean work environment, all while adhering to Jockey's policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide a warm, sincere greeting to all customers, including current promotional messages.
• Engage all customers to identify their needs and utilize product knowledge to offer solutions.
• Assist in driving all aspects of store level sales and profitability.
• Perform various sales and register transactions including ringing purchases and processing payments.
• Assist with merchandising of products in adherence to established visual standards.
• Promote awareness and excitement to grow Jockey Rewards® membership.
• Ensure adherence to all Jockey policies and procedures.
• Establish positive working relationships with co-workers to accomplish shared goals.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to move 25 pounds.
• Ability to effectively maneuver around sales floor and stockroom, including repetitive bending, prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, squatting, and ascending/descending ladders.

Nice-to-haves

• Two years of retail or customer service experience with a proven ability to demonstrate a passion for extraordinary customer service and sales.
