The Sales Associate position at Rocky's Ace Hardware is focused on delivering exceptional customer service while efficiently processing sales transactions. This role is integral to the store's operations, ensuring that customers receive assistance tailored to their needs and project requirements, thereby enhancing their shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain helpful customer service and engage with customers to determine their needs.
• Process sales quickly, accurately, and efficiently, including cash register operations.
• Perform various store tasks such as cashiering, product placement, receiving merchandise, and stocking.
• Assist in maintaining the good working condition of store equipment.
• Work with management to achieve established sales and productivity goals.
• Develop and execute ideas to increase store traffic in collaboration with management.
• Ensure proper merchandising and maintenance of end-caps, dump bins, and feature displays.
• Greet customers as they enter the store and answer phone calls.
• Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements.
• Accurately ring on registers and maintain cash at registers.
• Maintain an orderly appearance of the register area and ensure supplies are stocked.
• Solicit customers to open an Ace Rewards card and issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers.
• Attend mandatory monthly store meetings and perform other responsibilities as assigned by store management.

Requirements

• Experience in sales and customer service.
• Ability to perform cashiering and register operations accurately.
• Strong communication skills to engage with customers effectively.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a management team.
