About the position

As a Hot Topic Sales Associate, you will play a vital role in enhancing the customer experience by providing exceptional service and sharing your passion for music and pop culture. Your responsibilities will include merchandising, processing sales, and maintaining store organization, all while fostering a welcoming environment for fellow fans.

Responsibilities

• Provide an amazing shopping experience that encourages customer return visits.
• Cover the sales floor zone and ensure assigned areas meet visual standards.
• Work the register and process sales transactions, driving add-on sales using additional benefits such as BOPIS and curbside pickup.
• Assist with planogram changes including store map, wall, fixture, and merchandising mix.
• Communicate fashion and music trend information to management and HQ partners.
• Work with Store Management to prevent theft and ensure store security.
• Help maintain an organized stock room and keep the store tidy.
• Collaborate with team members to accomplish tasks and support store operations.
• Perform any other activities as assigned by the Store Leader.

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a retail environment.
• Strong customer service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to navigate the store and utilize approved store equipment.
• Ability to pack and unpack boxes of merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds.
