About the position

The Sales Associate at Rocket is responsible for assisting in the operation of the store in a safe, customer-focused, and profitable manner. This role involves various duties including cash handling, maintenance of store fixtures, and ensuring the security of inventory. The position requires effective communication and the ability to operate necessary equipment while adhering to company policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the operation of the store in a safe and customer-focused manner.
• Perform daily cash handling and ensure the security of all inventory and currency.
• Clean and maintain lighting and fixtures in the store.
• Learn to operate a cash register, computer console, and other related equipment.
• Work alone in the store for extended periods of time.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• A High School diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and written.
• Ability to work alone in the store for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to provide proof of authorization to work in the United States if hired.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for at least 8 hours.
• Physically able to lift, push, pull a minimum of 20 lbs.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 20 pounds from ground to overhead for up to 30 minutes of the workday.
• Ability to occasionally climb a ladder to store and retrieve materials.
