About the position

The Sales Associate at Crate & Barrel plays a crucial role in enhancing the customer experience by providing exceptional service and product knowledge. This position focuses on achieving sales goals, maintaining a welcoming store environment, and actively engaging with customers to assist them in their shopping journey. The Sales Associate works under the guidance of the Assistant Store Leader and Team Leader, Sales, contributing to the overall success of the store.

Responsibilities

• Maximize company sales growth and profitability through creative selling skills and customer service.
• Demonstrate company standards in selling, customer service, visual merchandising, and teamwork.
• Ensure full understanding of all products and maintain awareness of current information.
• Maintain sales floor coverage and adhere to posted schedules for area assignments.
• Maintain store counters and displays, assisting with store maintenance as directed by management.
• Actively engage customers, assisting with product selections and processing orders or returns.
• Exhibit a positive attitude and enthusiasm toward the job and company in all communications.
• Communicate customer feedback to store management regarding policies, product requests, and suggestions.
• Support and maintain store sales and service goals as communicated by management.
• Contribute to initiatives across all business channels to maximize sales growth.

Requirements

• Customer service or retail experience preferred.
• Good reading, written, and verbal language skills in English.

Nice-to-haves

• Ability to move and/or lift up to 50 pounds; heavier merchandise with team assist.
• Open availability to work flexible hours on weekdays, evenings, and weekends for full-time roles.
• Availability to work two or more weekend days and at least one weekday or night for part-time roles.
