About the position

The Sales Associate at CB Asphalt Maintenance, LLC is responsible for driving sales in the asphalt paving and maintenance sector. This role involves developing customer relationships, preparing proposals, and managing contracts to ensure successful project execution. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in direct sales within the commercial construction industry, particularly in asphalt paving, and will be expected to meet sales goals while maintaining high standards of customer service.

Responsibilities

• Meet and develop relationships with customers to secure job orders through networking, cold calling, site visits, and lead generation.
• Attend trade shows and be an active member of industry associations.
• Work with the marketing department to create a business development plan for prospecting.
• Prepare and deliver accurate proposals based on customer needs and budget.
• Present proposals, educate customers on processes, and overcome objections to secure signed contracts.
• Manage the transition of signed contracts to the office for permit and job preparation.
• Review blueprints and specifications to assist in project estimates.
• Maintain communication with existing customers for repeat business and referrals.
• Develop and report on sales goals and business development plans.
• Attend meetings, workshops, and training sessions as assigned.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in asphalt paving and maintenance sales.
• High school diploma or GED; AS/AA or higher is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with iPad and Google Earth.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent math and geometry skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in commercial construction sales.
• Knowledge of estimating in paving, concrete, landscaping, or construction environments.
• Ability to review blueprints, specifications, proposals, plans, and drawings.
